Alan Golightly appointed new CEO

Date posted: 22/07/2015

Alan Golightly, who has more than 20 years' expertise in the energy recruitment sector, has been promoted to the CEO role having previously been chief operating officer with Aberdeen-based Infinity.

He takes over from Martin Finnie who is moving to South East Asia to pursue a new business challenge. Martin will move into a non-executive director role and will remain a shareholder with Infinity.

Alan and Martin joined Infinity four years ago and have overseen a fivefold rise in turnover during this period, peaking at over £6m in the last reported financial year.

Alan, who worked with a global recruitment agency before joining Infinity, said: 'The team is looking to build on the excellent achievements at Infinity. We're developing new and more innovative approaches to recruitment; challenging the status quo, taking out cost and adding value for clients.

'I'm thrilled to be taking on the role of CEO with a view to taking the company to the next level. I'm also delighted Martin is remaining with the business as a non-executive director and we all wish him well on his move.'

Alan will work closely with Infinity Resources founder and director Amanda Dornan, who has more than 23 years' experience in the recruitment sector.

Amanda said: 'I'm delighted to be working with Alan in his new role as we look to continue to develop the business. I'm also pleased that Martin's expertise is available to us through his non-executive position. There are no doubt challenges ahead but Infinity, with its track record for customer service, is in a strong place to move forward.'

Infinity has established a proven track record in recruiting engineers and other key personnel for clients in a number of oil and gas producing regions, including the North Sea, the United States, South East Asia, Australia, West Africa and mainland Europe.

The company's client portfolio features operators as well as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracting companies and engineering consultancies.
